ESKRIDGE AUTO GROUP
FREE RIDE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2010-2011
  1. The Eskridge Auto Group and Coppermark Bank are awarding a new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro "Free Ride" and $25,000 college scholarship, to a graduating senior at an Oklahoma City Area High School.
  2. ELIGIBILITY: Candidates must be U.S. residents attending high school in Central Oklahoma.
  3. Candidates must have plans to apply for admission to a four-year post-secondary institution in the state of Oklahoma and must be on track and eligible to graduate from high school at the end of the 2010-2011 academic year and matriculate at a four-year post-secondary institution for the 2011-2012 academic year. Candidates must have never been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony and must have never had a restraining order or other injunctive relief entered against them.
  4. Participants must not have any criminal warrants outstanding for them. Candidates should have maintained an average 3.0 GPA during high school, and be in good-standing with the school.
  5. Employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of KOCO-TV, Eskridge Auto Group, Coppermark Bank, their advertising agencies, and each of their respective parent companies, agents, delegates, affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers, and the immediate family members (spouse, ex-spouse, parents, siblings, children, and their respective spouses) and household members (whether related or not) of those individuals are not eligible to participate.
  6. NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES: Nominations must be submitted to KOCO-TV between September 6, 2010 and January 23, 2011. Nominations may be submitted via the website www.KOCO.com or by mailing or hand-delivering your materials to KOCO-TV, Eskridge Auto /Coppermark Bank Free Ride Scholarship, 1300 East Britton Road, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73131. Hand-delivery must occur during regular business hours, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00 pm, except holidays. Students may nominate themselves. Please do not submit nominations to Eskridge Auto locations or Coppermark Bank. (See Nomination Form).
  7. SELECTION PROCESS: Semi-Finalist Selection. The Scholarship Committee will review all nominations and select up to 10 Semi-Finalists and several alternates. The Scholarship Committee will endeavor to make Semi-Finalist selections and notify Semi-Finalists by February 11, 2011. Semi-Finalists must complete the Finalist Application Form, and provide all qualifying materials and information by Monday, March 7, 2011.
  8. Semi-Finalists Video. Videos of semi-finalists will be posted, in whole or in part, for a period of approximately three weeks on KOCO.com's High School Playbook webpage, where website users will have an opportunity to participate in the selection of five Free Ride Scholarship Finalists.
  9. Finalist Selection. Website users will have an opportunity to vote for the Semi-Finalist they think is most deserving of the Free Ride Scholarship. The Scholarship Committee will consider the votes cast and will individually consider and assess each Semi-Finalist candidate and will select five Finalist candidates from among the Semi-Finalists candidates.
  10. Program Featuring Finalists. In cooperation with the Scholarship Committee, Eskridge Auto group, and Coppermark Bank, KOCO-TV will produce a 30-minute program profiling the five Finalists.
  11. Recipient Selection. Prior to airing of the profile program, the Scholarship Committee will select one Finalist to be the scholarship recipient. The Scholarship Committee will endeavor to announce the recipient by May 27, 2011.
  12. SCHOLARSHIP AWARD AND CONTINUING ELIGIBILITY: The candidate selected to receive the Free Ride Chevrolet Camaro and Scholarship will receive the following: (a) A new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro, provided by the Eskridge Auto Group, including tag & title. The recipient must be 18 years of age, must be a licensed driver with a current and valid driver license, and must provide proof of insurance. In the event the recipient is under the age of 18 when he or she is named the recipient, Eskridge Auto will retain title to the vehicle and award it to the recipient only after the criteria above are met.
    (b) Up to $25,000 provided by Coppermark Bank, to be paid directly to the four-year post-secondary institution in the State of Oklahoma where the recipient enrolls and attends. A maximum of $6,250 will be contributed each school year for up to four years, so long as the recipient remains enrolled full-time, as defined by the academic institution, and remains in good academic standing, as defined by the academic institution.
  13. TAXES: Scholarship awards may have tax ramifications. Fair Market Value of the vehicle, when awarded, will be approximately $23,000. Recipient should consult with his or her tax advisor to determine tax liability, if any, associated with the Free Ride Scholarship. Recipient's NCAA eligibility, if any, may be affected by receipt of the Free Ride Scholarship.
